Episode 22: Tucker and Dale vs. Evil

Happy Halloween from the One Brew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. On this spook-tacular episode Kevin and Dougie go to the backwoods and discuss the 2010 film “Tucker and Dale vs Evil.” Horror films in general are not in the wheelhouse of either host, but when the horror gets silly the guys get their popcorn ready.

Episode 21: Operation Finale

Kevin and Doug talk about the post WWII thriller "Operation Finale" starring Sir Ben Kingsley and Oscar Isaac. The thriller stars an incredible cast. Does the intensity and drama wedge a gap in the enjoyment of the film for either host? A brand new segment is introduced as well "The One Brew Two."

Episode 20: Night Comes On

This week Kevin welcomes back into the studio "Dougie" to discuss the recent directorial debut from Jordana Spiro "Night Comes On". Doug and Kevin talk about a different points of view when watching a movie. They talk about how life circumstances can alter they way you see what is being presented on screen for better or for worse. They also return to a new segment "Picture Perfect"

Episode 18: "Mary Poppins" (1964) and "I Feel Pretty"

On this week's episode Kevin welcomes his wife Jordan Zade into the studio to talk about the 1964 classic "Mary Poppins." After a 10 year marriage Kevin can't find the film to prove that not all movies made before 1990 are bad. Also during the "Home Brew" segment Kevin and Jordan end up discussing Amy Schumer's 2018 film "I Feel Pretty"

Episode 17: Deadpool 2

Kevin Welcomes his guest Matt Deluca on to the show to talk about Deadpool 2. They discuss the difference between action and violence with the help of a new segment "Film Jargon for Dummies" and also introduce a brand new game they are calling "Movie Mix Up." 

Episode 16: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Kevin welcomes Jason Pyles, the host of Movie Podcast Weekly, to the show to discuss the 1975 film "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" starring Jack Nicholson and Louise Fletcher among many others. Jason's podcast was the first movie podcast Kevin ever listened to and you have him to blame for this very podcast. It was a wonderful honor to have him on the show.

Episode 14: Pacific Rim Double Feature

On today's episode Kevin and Jacob take shelter from the Kaiju in Studio B (Jacobs House) to bring the listeners their opinion on the "Pacific Rim" films.  Jacob brings Kevin into the world of battling giant "Transformer" like robots and giant "Godzilla" like creatures as they watch both films in one day.  Does this years sequel do the original justice, or like in the case of so many sequels, should this film have remained buried deep beneath the pacific ocean?

Episode 13: The Top Ten films of 2017

Since often movies slated for the Oscars don't even come to theaters near you until January or February it can take a while to catch them all.  In this Episode with the help of listeners and friends Kevin and Jacob cover their top ten films of 2017. Kevin feels as though he and Jacob are in agreement in the best film of the year but one of the hosts provides a M.Night Shyamalan level twist.

In this episode Kevin reviews six films that have been released in 2018 including 2 Netflix originals and 4 theatrical releases. He also separately covers 2 additional films from 2017 that are available to stream now during the short "Homebrew'' segment.
